20 Apr My birthday is coming up.

wishlist.pngWow, how news-worthy. Anyway, just the time to show your support for me as a blogger that believes in blogs without ads, quality daily content (if time allows me) and quality design. I am putting my wishlist on here, who knows. Any support is appreciated, even words.

My list is topped by a desirable piece of electronics that Daniel recently blogged about (oh yeah, Daniel, email me, my offer still stands ;)).

iPod Nano

Number One. I’d love to have an iPod Nano for my birthday. It’s a great piece of electronics and I got so much music and podcasts I want to follow everywhere that I think it will become an extension of my body.

More Comments

Number Two. I’d love people to be more verbal. Are you doubting if you are going to type those thoughts? Please do. I love input, I cannot stress this enough. Email me, write me, comment on this page, blog this site. Even the most nonsensical input is encouraged because it is encouraging to me and makes me want to continue this ad-less, quality-content effort.

Beta Testers

Number Three. Yes, you read that right. I still need people with G4 and G5 (especially G5 models) Macs to test applications. Sign up by sending me an email.

Anything other than that is welcome too. My birthday’s the 29th of April, feel free to reach me on IM: (ICQ: 68695151; Jabber: cocoia@jabber.phranck.net; MSN: batterylife@gmail.com; Skype: caliform) or email me (see a few lines above).

  1. I would enjoy to test with your visualization tools, and already sent you an email. I’m interested in anything design-related, from presentations to homepages, but this way of data visualization is both new and exciting to me.

Btw. I added you in ICQ and MSN (nick: majix)

  2. Happy upcoming birthday! Your site is great, and you’re obviously well on your way to becoming a very successful OS X developer. I started reading your blog when your Leopard security posts got posted all over the Mac web. I do have a suggestion, though, and I’ve been holding back since it’s so trivial. But now you’re actually asking for it. :)

You’ve set the links in your posts (and links in the sidebar) to become bold when the cursor rolls over it, but this causes the whole line and paragraph to shift about because your body alignment is justified. This doesn’t seem to me as professional as the rest of your site, and in addition, it causes my poor little G4 iBook to pause a moment while it redisplays the text. It’s actually unpleasant enough to make me very careful about not mousing about while reading your posts. My girlfriend’s intel iMac handles it just fine, of course, but there’s still the issue of it seeming like an oversight in your otherwise appealing aesthetic.

Wouldn’t just changing the color of the link be more pleasing? Trying to click a tag in your tag cloud, for example, is much more difficult than it needs to be.

    regards

  3. I love your blog and the things you write about. Your wishlist is in my mind, but I don’t really know how to react. I’ll see. I would like to know when you’re welcoming your guests on your birthday. In the afternoon or in the evening or may we know it by ourselves? Love.
